+ How do I make an appointment?

There are a number of different ways to schedule an appointment:

  1. If you have read the therapists' bios and know who you want to work with, you can reach out to them directly through their contact information provided.
  2. You may call our Client Care line at 215-606-3414 and leave a message requesting an appointment including your name, phone number, and your availability for a return call.
  3. Or, submit an appointment request form here.

We will return your confidential call or online submission within two business days.

+ How long are sessions?

A standard session is 50 minutes long, however the length and frequency of your appointments will be scheduled based on your needs. An extended session is either 75 or 90 minutes in length.

+ Do I need to live in Philadelphia?

No! We are now offering telehealth services, allowing clients to be seen remotely through a secure video-conferencing platform.

+ Do you take insurance?

The office does not accept any insurance policies. We can accept most health savings accounts that folks receive through their employers. Many clients can also use their out-of-network benefits for therapy. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to find out the terms of your coverage, specifically the rate of reimbursement for out-of-network psychotherapy services, and the information they would require you to provide for reimbursement.

+ What methods of payment do you accept?

The People's Therapy Group accepts cash, debit and credit. If requested, your therapist can provide you with statements for insurance reimbursement.

+ Are there certain problems that you don’t treat?

We are here to help you with whatever difficulty you may be facing. However, we do not treat individuals with active addictions, or couples with active violence unless they are willing to enter a supplementary treatment program. The therapists at the People's Therapy Group would be happy to work with you to find a resource that fits your needs.

+ What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that things may come up that interfere with your scheduled plans. If you need to cancel an appointment, please contact your therapist 24 hours prior to your session. Cancellations within the 24 hour window may be subject to a cancellation fee. Clients who miss an appointment without prior cancellation will be charged for the session.

+ We are parked outside the building, now what?

The entrance to the office suites are behind the building. If you have parked on Germantown Avenue, follow Phil Elena street around to the back parking lot (which you are welcome to use) to the office entrance. There is a buzzer on your right hand side labelled "The People's Therapy Group". If the vestibule doors are locked, please press the buzzer for your therapist to grant you building access. Take the stairs or elevator on your left to the second floor, and follow the hallway to suite 200, the "Mt Airy USA" suites. Your therapist will get you from the waiting room at the start of your appointment.
